FOUR-CYCLE ROTARY ENGINE
PROTECTED BY PATENT OF UKRAINE No. 40691

According to drawing (Fig. 1) during engine operation rotors 2, 3 and 4 rotate synchronously in the same direction in such a manner that sealings 5 of adjacent rotors simultaneously reach the projected parts K and L in the engine housing 1.

Rotary engine operation is as follows:

- in the cavity A, air-fuel mixture suction cycle is effected through the duct G from the carburetor;

- in the cavity B, cycle of compression of air-fuel mixture taken in previously, occurs;

- in the cavity C, working stroke is effected: rotation of the working rotor 2 by expanding products of combustion of air-fuel mixture ignited by spark plug 6 and burnt in the chamber E;

- in the cavity D, cycle of emission takes place: waste products of air-fuel mixture combustion (exhaust gases) are discharged from the engine I.

Therefore, four cycles of operation are realized in the internal combustion rotary engine concerned.

ABSTRACT

FOR ATTRACTION OF INVESTMENTS INTO INNOVATION PROJECT

“ELECTRIC POWER PRODUCTION USING HYDRAULIC MOTOR”

  1. Project originator: SOKRAT Production Cooperative, Dnipropetrovsk.

  2. Essence of the Project: Development and manufacturing application of new pollution-free technology of electric power generation (allowing to preserve flora and fauna without causing any harm thereto) by means of creating cascades of dam-free hydroelectric power stations (HPS). HPS can be built both of limited capacity (to supply tourist centers, mountain-ski resorts, and settlements in mountains) and of high capacity (through reconstruction of operating stations and increase of their capacity 3-4 times). All this is possible on the basis of the patented invention No. 40690 “Rotary Pump” published in the official bulletin “Industrial Property” (“Promyslova Vlasnist”) No.7 dated 15.08.2001 in Ukraine. Rotary pump can be used a hydraulic motor under pressurized liquid supply to discharge or suction duct of the pump.

  3. Stage of the Project implementation: Development, manufacturing and testing rotary pump under the patent of Ukraine No. 40690.

  4. Supposed market: Product of the present Project will be sold in the world market of electric power production and distribution.

  5. Project benefits:

    • 3-4 times increase in capacity of large hydraulic power stations, due to their reconstruction using hydraulic motors;

    • elimination of necessity to construct dams.

  6. Investment requirement to finance the Project:

    • Patenting of invention under the patent of Ukraine No. 40690 abroad (in 15-17 countries) – USD 50 thousand.

    • Drawing up technical documentation for hydraulic motor – USD 50 thousand.

    • Manufacturing of experimental and industrial specimen of hydraulic motor - USD 100 thousand.

    • Testing and finishing of experimental and industrial specimen of hydraulic motor for serial production – USD 20 thousand.

    • Drawing up technical documentation for dam-free HPS – USD 60 thousand.

    • Conclusion of contracts and advance payment for HPS equipment manufacturing – USD 100 thousand.

    • Manufacturing of equipment, construction of buildings and structures for dam-free HPS – USD 200 thousands.

    • Equipment assembling – USD 30 thousand.

    • Pre-commissioning works at HPS – USD 20 thousand.

    • Total amount of investments required for the Project implementation shall make USD 630 thousand.

  7. Period of the Project launching and bringing of products to the market shall be 1,5-2 years.

  8. Substantiation of sales volumes: Constantly increasing volumes of electric power production are stipulated by limiting natural resources of electric power carriers in the world (it concerns oil, natural gas, uranium ores). Possibility to include HPS into combined power systems with redistribution of energy through regions and time scales is provided.

  9. Supposed payback period of one HPS of 5 MWt capacity: one year, starting with the date of commissioning.

  10. Conditions for participation of investors: on contract basis.

DAM-FREE HYDRAULIC POWER STATION (HPS)
CONTAINING ROTARY PUMP – HYDRAULIC MOTOR,
PROTECTED BY PATENT OF UKRAINE No. 40690

According to drawing (Fig. 1), dam-free hydraulic power station operates as follows:

Water from nonfreezing river (NFR) is supplied by the pressure pipeline 1 through the flap 2 to the building 3 of hydraulic power station, where it rotates the rotary pump–hydraulic motor (protected by the patent of Ukraine No. 40690). Working shaft of the pump-hydraulic motor is connected to the generator, which produces electric power. Further, wastewater from the pump-hydraulic motor is discharged through rundown pipeline into the river.

Operation of the rotary pump-hydraulic motor is described below: According to drawings (Fig. 2, 3 and 4), during the pump-hydraulic motor operation rotors 2 and 3 rotate synchronously in the same direction in such a manner that sealings 4 of the rotors simultaneously reach the projected parts E and G in the pump-hydraulic motor housing 1.

In the process of the pump-hydraulic motor operation, water from the ducts È comes under pressure to the cavities A and D, and rotates in turn the rotors 2 and 3, connected with the working shaft 5 joined with the generator producing electric power. Wastewater is discharged from the pump-hydraulic motor through the cavities B and C, and the ducts K.
